The Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day Race is a treasured Cincinnati tradition. Thousands of participants gather to run or walk a 10k course in downtown Cincinnati to celebrate our community, a healthy lifestyle and, of course, Thanksgiving Day.
Started in 1908, the Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day Race is one of the oldest races in America, according to Chicago Athlete Magazine. Western & Southern has been the title sponsor since 2013.
Proceeds from the race benefit several charities, including the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, Barret Cancer Center at UC, Girls on the Run and Cancer Free Kids. Since 2016, the race has raised more than $500,000.
