Some of the benefits of LEED certification include reduced energy and water usage, which allows the building to have lower operating cost; less construction waste; a more durable building; support of the local economy by encouraging locally sourced material and labor; and improved indoor air quality.
One of the most significant items is the building’s ability to constantly provide fresh, tempered air into the guest rooms and commercial space while removing the current air. This constant flow of recirculating air delivers better indoor air quality and provides a better experience for both guests and employees.
A plaque will be placed in the lobby of the hotel that informs guests that the building was constructed to LEED Silver certification.
