John F. Barrett, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Western & Southern Financial Group (Western & Southern), helps honor and inspire local entrepreneurs as keynote speaker and award namesake at the annual John F. Barrett Entrepreneur Vision Awards luncheon.
Presented by Western & Southern, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Cincinnati and LeadTribune Media Group (publisher of Venue and Lead magazines), the luncheon is attended by hundreds of Greater Cincinnati area entrepreneurs and business leaders.
“The hard work of generations of Cincinnatians lives on today through the entrepreneurs who carry a collective torch that lights a city built on serving the community,” said Barrett. “It takes people with big ideas and big dreams to realize their own power and influence to continue pushing Cincinnati to become one of the greatest cities in the world.”
SugarCreek, Inc., a meat co-packer with sales topping $700 million, was chosen overall winner of the 2019 John F. Barrett Entrepreneur Vision Award. The company was among four winners recognized in the categories of Entrepreneurship in the Enterprise (winner: SugarCreek), Family & Privately Held Businesses (winner: ProLink Staffing), Minority & Women Owned Businesses (winner: ValAir Valet Parking) and Start-Up (winner: FLT Medical). Each winner received a special plaque and proclamation from Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.
