The Lafayette Life Insurance Company, a member of Western & Southern Financial Group, has enhanced its retirement services sales team to better serve its customers.

“Lafayette Life has a long history of helping small business owners plan for the future by leveraging the benefits and efficient tax planning offered by a qualified retirement plan,” said John H. Bultema III, Lafayette Life’s president and chief executive officer. “We have increased and enhanced our Retirement Services sales team to respond to the growing demand among small businesses for our services, and to help us better serve our current and future customers.”

Warner Off, who started his career with Lafayette Life’s parent company, Western & Southern, in 2016, has joined Lafayette Life as assistant vice president of Retirement Services. He is responsible for leading the Retirement Services inside sales team and helping to close and fund new plans referred from the regional sales teams. Off reports to Cheryl Jorgenson, vice president of Retirement Services. Prior to joining Western & Southern, he spent 11 years at the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, serving as a partner in the corporate department of the firm. Off has a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale and a law degree from Emory University.

Ryan Wells, director of Retirement Services Operations, also reports to Jorgenson and oversees all business operations in Retirement Services. Wells has been with Lafayette Life since 2013. He has 19 years of pension experience and superior technical knowledge in the small plan market. He graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and he holds QPA, QKA and CPC designations from the American Society of Pension Practitioners and Actuaries.

Joseph A. D’Alconzo III joined Lafayette Life as senior pension sales consultant of Retirement Plans this year and reports to Off. He is responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, consulting on new and existing business, and responding to inquiries from new and existing Lafayette Life clients, customers, financial advisors and employers. He delivers expert technical consulting services with respect to qualification and record keeping associated with defined contribution and defined benefit plans. Prior to joining Lafayette Life, D’Alconzo worked at One America Financial Partners, Aspire Financial, WCI Communities, T. Rowe Price Investment Services and Waddell & Reed Financial Services. He has a bachelor’s degree in management and an MBA from the University of South Florida.

Mark Ditondo, vice president of Retirement Services Sales, has been added to the retirement services effort to help drive new plan sales. Reporting to Larry Silverstein, Lafayette Life’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Ditondo works closely with Jorgenson, Off and Lafayette Life’s regional sales vice presidents to grow qualified plan business and Retirement Services’ life and annuity premium. He started his career with Met Life as a financial representative and advanced through several management positions before joining Lafayette Life in 2014.

“We welcome Warner and Joseph to Lafayette Life,” Jorgenson said. “Their addition to the team with the announced changes will enhance our retirement services ability to handle more sales volume while meeting the needs of our current clients.”
