Opportunities From a Carbon-Constrained World

Unlike many low carbon strategies, the Touchstone Climate Transition fund (HEAT) is not constrained to just the clean tech sector nor limited to industries that are inherently low emissions, like media and IT - such a narrow focus may lead to concentration problems for investors. And because the low carbon status of these companies is well known, they can often become overvalued. Instead, the Fund uses three categories to define the companies in which it seeks to invest.

About Lombard Odier's Approach

The Fund’s differentiation is its focus on high quality companies across different industries that are making that transition happen. Through bottom up fundamental stock research and decarbonization analysis, Lombard Odier, sub-adviser to the Fund, aims to understand the business opportunities that companies are capitalizing on due to the climate transition, but also their long term alignment to net zero roadmaps for their industry.
