BLINK®, recognized as the nation’s largest public light and art event, is set to enchant over two million visitors from Oct.17-20. This year, Western & Southern joins as a proud sponsor of the event, helping debut three interactive light installations at the newly revitalized Lytle Park.
Featured Installations:
- Crescendo by Kyle Eli Ebersole and Ian Molitors: A fan-favorite from previous editions of BLINK®, Crescendo returns with professional musicians enhancing the interactive light display that responds to musical notes.
- Echo Archive by Reality Is…: This thought-provoking installation from a London-based arts team explores the nuances of human interaction through layered light designs. Visitors are encouraged to walk through and engage with the changing light patterns, which aim to stimulate curiosity and engage the senses.
- Dome of Reflection by Organic with Joel Masters: This installation transforms perceptions within a geodesic dome through shifting light patterns, offering a communal space that challenges visitors to envision a brighter, more vibrant future.
BLINK®, illuminated by ArtsWave, generated an estimated $126 million in economic impact in previous years, demonstrating its significant contribution to the local economy. Western & Southern’s partnership with ArtsWave continues to affirm its commitment to supporting the arts and enriching the Cincinnati community.

About ArtsWave:
ArtsWave, the local nonprofit arts agency serving the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region, is the engine for the arts. Its roots stem back to the late 1920s when the Cincinnati Taft family provided initial investment matched by community support. In the late 1940s, it established the first united arts fund in the nation and, in the mid-1970s, the first organization to initiate workplace giving for the arts. ArtsWave continues to innovate while leading, as illustrated by its No. 1 rank nationally in community arts fundraising, coordination of a sector-wide Blueprint for Collective Action, piloting of new technologies to maximize arts engagement and development of resources for the arts. Each year, ArtsWave raises millions of dollars from tens of thousands of donors —corporations, employees, foundations, residents and others — to support more than 150 arts organizations, projects and artists. 2024’s goal is to return to pre-pandemic fundraising levels by surpassing $12.5 million. Donations can be made at artswave.org/give.
