VAROOM® Flexible Premium Variable Annuity (FPVA)
Variable Annuity for Roll Over Only Money (VAROOM) is a flexible premium variable annuity issued as a traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA), a Roth IRA or a SEP IRA.
VAROOM is designed for money in motion—retirement plan rollovers, to be exact. It offers cost-effective investment options and riders that can help guarantee retirement income. VAROOM is an innovative investment option that offers subaccounts that invest in individual exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from iShares® and Vanguard.
ETFs may offer cost advantages and diversification to an investment portfolio. Rolling qualified money into VAROOM maintains the tax-favored status of the investment—an important consideration when assessing retirement savings strategies. VAROOM’s optional Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit offers added security for an additional charge. It provides regular retirement income payouts for life, while still allowing potential growth opportunities.
Before making rollover decisions, carefully consider all available retirement plan options. Factors to consider include but are not limited to, account fees and expenses, service levels and withdrawal penalties, as well as the limitation of one 60-day rollover per year. Consult a tax or legal advisor as tax consequences vary depending on state law and your individual situation.

Variable annuities are tax-deferred insurance products. If you are investing through a tax-advantaged plan (such as an IRA or 401(k) rollover), you will receive no additional tax advantage or deferral from the annuity. Investment return and principal value of an investment in a variable annuity will fluctuate, so units, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Annuity contracts have terms and limitations for keeping them in force. Please contact a financial representative for complete details. An annuity is a long-term financial vehicle designed for retirement. An insurance company accepts premiums and provides future income or a lump-sum amount to the contract owner by contractual agreement.
Payment of benefits under the annuity contract is the obligation of and is guaranteed by, the insurance company issuing the annuity. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the insurer. There is no guarantee of the investment performance or safety of the variable investment options. Variable annuities are suited for long-term investing. Earnings and pre-tax payments are subject to income tax at withdrawal. Withdrawals prior to age 59½ are generally subject to a 10% IRS penalty tax. Interest rates are declared by the insurance company at annual effective rates, taking into account daily compounding of interest. Product approval, availability, and features may vary by state. See your financial professional for availability, details, and limitations.
