Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. has named John T. Stewart assistant vice president and senior equity research manager on its Small Company Equity team, based in Albany, New York.
In this position, Stewart will be the lead analyst covering the industrials, materials, energy, and utilities sectors for the Small Company Equity strategy. He will report to Jason Ronovech, vice president, senior portfolio manager at Fort Washington.
“John is a wonderful addition to the Small Company Equity team, having previously worked with both Jason Ronovech and another member of the Small Company team while at Sentinel Investments,” said Maribeth Rahe, president and chief executive officer of Fort Washington. “John is a great fit for the team, and he brings tremendous experience and energy to the firm.”
Most recently, Stewart spent five years as a credit analyst at Sentinel Investments, working with public and eventually private debt within the investment grade and high yield segments of the corporate bond market. Prior to that, he was an equity analyst at Sentinel, covering the healthcare, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, and financials sectors at various times. Before that, he was a financial analyst at National Life Insurance Company and General Dynamics.
Stewart earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Vermont.
