Jason Nickles Elected IASA 2022-2023 Board Chair

Western & Southern Financial Group •

IASA’s membership recently elected its new Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term, voting Jason Nickles, CPA, AVP and assistant controller for Western & Southern Financial Group, as Board Chair. A long-term IASA volunteer, Jason has served IASA – his professional association – for more than 15 years in various roles, including education, volunteer development, eLearning, and past president of his local IASA Chapter – Southwest Ohio.

In his volunteer role as Board Chair, Jason will guide the association, in close partnership with CEO Kerry Crockett and the entire Board of Directors, through a year of aggressive growth and positive change driven by IASA’s newly crafted business and strategic plans. Top priorities for the 2022-2023 year include expanding IASA’s footprint into new segments of the insurance industry, adopting a new and concerted advocacy strategy, embracing a rich content and storytelling platform, increasing its member and attendee base, and increasing brand awareness of IASA by demonstrating the intrinsic value of the association and its impact on the industry to members and other stakeholders.

In his current professional role at Western & Southern Financial Group, Jason is responsible for the organization’s technical accounting function, investment accounting, and financial analysis. He holds a BSBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a licensed CPA in the state of Ohio.

“I’m thrilled to embark on a new chapter with IASA and my career, serving as IASA Board Chair,” stated Jason. “As the IASA continues to grow the insurance industry and our member organizations, I look forward to continuing the important work of the leaders before me and fulfilling our mission of becoming the voice of the insurance industry.”

Jason’s term continues through June 30, 2023. When he is not spending time with his wife and their daughter, Jason enjoys golfing and traveling.
