The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden’s largest fundraiser, Zoofari, was back on Zoo grounds this year after being held virtually in 2020 due to COVID-19. Zoofari guests supported the Zoo in a big way by helping raise a record amount – more than $800,000.
The event, held on Sept. 24, was sponsored by Western & Southern Financial Group and Fort Washington Investment Advisors. It featured dinner-by-the-bite samples from local restaurants, creative cocktails and entertainment while guests wandered through themed sections of the Zoo under the stars.
For more than 50 years, Western & Southern has been a proud partner of the Zoo and supporter of its efforts to create adventure, convey knowledge, conserve nature and serve the community. Over five years ago, Western & Southern supported the development of the Zoo’s Africa exhibit, which features John the lion, his mate, Imani, and their three female cubs, one of which was named Willa by our associates. Western & Southern has been a supporter of Zoofari, in partnership with Fort Washington, since 1996.
