Eighth Western & Southern-Funded Habitat Home Completed

What: Western & Southern Financial Group is dedicating its eighth home as part of a multi-year commitment to fund the building of eight homes with Habitat for Humanity for Greater Cincinnati. This house is also part of a larger project in Springfield Township’s West College Hill neighborhood, joining multiple Habitat homes already completed over the last few years.

When: Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m.

Who: The recipients of the Habitat home include Mozella (“Moe”) Lawrence and her 9-year-old daughter, who is currently enrolled at the Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies in Roselawn. Moe has been employed with Easter Seals since 2017. She applied in the past for a conventional mortgage but was not approved due to her credit score. She is working with City Link’s Smart Money and Changing Gears programs. Now that she is a homeowner, she would like to become a foster parent.

Why: Western & Southern has formed partnerships through business and philanthropic endeavors to help secure individual self-reliance through programs that promote financial stability. Habitat is one of those partnerships, and Western & Southern is pleased to help this deserving family achieve their dream of homeownership.
