Career
Chris Shipley is a Senior Vice President and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Fort Washington. He oversees all equity investment activity with a primary focus on setting equity investment policy and directing equity portfolio management, research, trading and risk management functions. Shipley also shares responsibility with Brendan White, Co-Chief Investment Officer, for asset allocation and macro-positioning for both Fort Washington and Western & Southern Financial Group.
Shipley joined Fort Washington in 2024 and has more than 26 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was with Northern Trust Asset Management in Chicago where he held various senior leadership positions from 2000 to 2023. Most recently, he was chief investment strategist for North America, where he chaired the Tactical Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to this position, he served as senior vice president, head of Fundamental Equities, and senior portfolio manager, where he oversaw fundamental portfolio management and equity research.
Education & Designation
Shipley earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
