In his position, Strickland will be the lead analyst covering the financial services sector for the Focused Equity and Large Cap Focused Equity strategies. He will report to Sunit Gogia, vice president, assistant portfolio manager and director of equity research at Fort Washington.

Most recently, Strickland spent five years as a senior equity analyst at Amundi Pioneer Asset Management, focusing on U.S. financial equity investments for large- and mid-cap mutual funds. Prior to that, he was a research analyst at Prospector Partners, focusing on the financial sector for long-short and value-oriented equity funds. He has also served in research analyst roles at Castle Point Capital Management, Balance Asset Management LLC and Steadfast Financial LLC.
While at Castle Point Capital Management, Strickland had the opportunity to work directly with Todd Combs, now an investment manager reporting directly to Warren Buffett. Under the direction of Combs, Jonathan was exposed to and gained great experience in applying value investing principles in the financial services sector.
Having earned both a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting from Wake Forest University, Strickland has also complemented his lengthy work experience by earning an MBA from Columbia Business School with a focus on value investing. While at Columbia, he was also a research associate for the Heilbrunn Center for Value Investing where he studied the value investing principles and processes created by Bruce Greenwald, head of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing at Columbia.
