Fort Washington Names Tsai Vice President, Business Development

Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. (Fort Washington) has named Irene Tsai, CFA, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, vice president, business development. 

In this role, Tsai will lead Fort Washington’s institutional business development efforts in the Tristate area. She will also oversee the strategic development of the intermediaries' initiative.

“We are excited to have Irene join our business development team,” said Jack O’Connor, managing director and head of business development for Fort Washington. “Her knowledge, expertise and background will complement and strengthen our institutional business development and relationship management activities.” 

Tsai brings more than 13 years of institutional business development, relationship management and investment management experience to Fort Washington. Most recently, she served as a director of intermediaries for Johnson Asset Management in Cincinnati, where she served as a founding architect of the division. Additionally, she was a member of Johnson Investment Counsel’s (JIC) Family Office Services portfolio management team. Prior to JIC, she was a regional internal consultant, specializing in annuities and life insurance, with Nationwide Financial in Columbus, Ohio. 

Tsai holds bachelor of arts degrees in Economics and Music (Piano) Performance from Denison University. She is a CFA charterholder and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations. 

Tsai is active in the Cincinnati community, serving as a past president for the board of directors of the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Ohio and a founding member of the All Ohio FPA Symposium. She is a member of the CFA Society of Cincinnati, the Association of Asian American Investment Managers and ACE NextGen. Additionally, she is a Women’s Initiative mentor for the CFP® Board and an ambassador and past featured leader for the Collaborative WIM Initiative.
