John H. Bultema III, president and CEO of Columbus Life Insurance Company, and Blake Moore, president and CEO of Touchstone Investments, are among the 30 New Bosses to Watch in 2021, a list published by the Cincinnati Business Courier that includes leaders the editors believe will be the most influential across the region. Columbus Life and Touchstone are both business subsidiaries of Western & Southern Financial Group.
In its profile of Bultema, the Courier noted that he succeeded J.J. Miller, who retired from Columbus Life in October 2020 after 50 years with Western & Southern. Bultema has also been serving as president and CEO of The Lafayette Life Insurance Company since November 2019 and was included in the Courier’s list of bosses to watch in 2020 for that role. He has been with Western & Southern since 2017, when he was hired as the senior vice president of Institutional Markets.
Moore succeeded Steven M. Graziano, who retired in December 2020 after 11 years with Touchstone. Prior to joining Touchstone, Moore held senior leadership roles in the asset management business for over 20 years, most recently as president of North American Asset Management for Foresters Financial. His unusual career path included six seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Green Bay Packers, after which he earned his law degree at Harvard Law School.
