Western & Southern has established a new team to execute strategies to leverage the company’s investment in Gerber Life Insurance Company. Peter J. Brown rejoined Western & Southern as the vice president to lead the team, effective April 6.
In his position, Brown is responsible for development, implementation and execution of strategic initiatives to maximize the strengths of Gerber Life’s iconic brand and industry-leading business model. He reports directly to Jill T. McGruder, Western & Southern’s chief marketing officer, and works closely with Keith M. O’Reilly, president and CEO, Gerber Life.
“In 2019, we completed the successful transition of Gerber Life’s infrastructure from Nestlé to Western & Southern,” McGruder said. “Now is the time to continue to move forward and grow both organizations by leveraging the strengths of each other. We’re pleased to have Pete rejoin Western & Southern and lead this effort.”
Brown joined Western & Southern in 2011 as a Leadership Development Program associate. He was promoted to assistant vice president, digital marketing, then assistant vice president, digital strategy. In 2018, Brown joined Main Street Ventures as executive director. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
